LOVE
Is love different from caring? How do we love the people closest to us? What does love look like when someone hurts us, disappoints us, or goes in the wrong direction? Can we truly love someone without trying to change them?

Love
Today, I'm not going to start with the question, "What is love?" There are many definitions of love, and people may understand love in different ways.
Instead, I want to talk about two simple things:
The acts of love and how to act when we are in love.
The Acts of Love
Why am I using the words "acts of love"?
Because love is an action. Love is a verb. Loving requires action, effort, and expression. Love is not just something we feel; love is something we do. That is why I want to talk about the acts of love.
The acts of love can include patience, kindness, forgiveness, acceptance, compassion, mercy, and many other ways in which love is expressed.
But today, I also want to highlight another important act of love.
Sometimes, when someone close to us does something wrong, we think that loving them means lecturing them, constantly correcting them, motivating them, or using many words to convince them to change. Sometimes we think our words alone can change a person.
But we should not always think that our words have the power to change someone.
But our one act of love can change them—and that act can be prayer.”
Prayer is an act of love.
Prayer is one of the ways we can express our love for someone. We may speak to them, care for them, or correct them when necessary, but we should not depend only on our words and think that we can change them ourselves.
how to act when we are in love.
The answer is simple: we should love one another just as Jesus loves us.
Think for a moment about the patience of God. Think about His acceptance. Think about His forgiveness. Think about the range of His love.
Now imagine someone close to you. Maybe someone in your family. Maybe a friend. Maybe someone who is angry with you, someone who is not listening to you, someone who is going in the wrong direction, someone struggling with an addiction, someone who lies to you, or even someone who continues to hurt you.
Now ask yourself this:
If God were in your position, and you were doing the same things to Him, would Jesus immediately stop accepting you? Would He stop forgiving you? Would He lose patience with you?
This is what I mean when I say that we should learn how to love.
How Do We Love Like Jesus?
We cannot simply decide to love like Jesus through our own strength.
If we want to love others the way Jesus loves, we must first learn to love Him.
We love Him with our priorities. We love Him through our actions. We love Him through faith. through our holiness We love Him by choosing to live for Him and by making Him the priority in our lives.
The more we learn to love Jesus in our own lives, the more our capacity to love others can grow.
Whom Can We Love?
Whom can we love like Jesus?
Simply, we can love the people for whom we have a burden.
Think about the people you constantly think about, the people you pray for, the people you struggle for, and the people you carry in your heart. These are often the people God has placed within your circle of love.
For some, that circle may begin with their family. For a parent, it may be their children. For a pastor, it may be the people God has entrusted to them. For a missionary, it may extend beyond their own culture to people from another country or culture whom they may not even have known before.
So, whom we can love is connected to the people for whom we carry a burden.
When we first learn to love God truly, it helps us learn to love the people closest to us. And as we continue to practice that love, our capacity can grow. God can open more circles of love in our lives.
What is love?
If we say that we love someone, they should be able to see Jesus in us. They should be able to see the love of Jesus through the way we love them.
And if they cannot see Jesus in the way we love, then we need to ask ourselves: What kind of love are we showing?
Love is showing Jesus through us.
Love is Jesus.
Simply, I would say:
Love is God.
God is love.
